Our bodies are a little more complex than that, and we need to have good healthy habits in place in order to be and stay healthy. It is easy to be tempted with the easy road, but I have found that road just leads right back to where you started.
The best solution I have found is decide on the lifestyle you want and then work at forming good habits to support that lifestyle.

An accountability partner!
This is super important, because once you write down your goal and then back it up by telling someone that this is what you plan to do, you have now reinforced your commitment. And the chances of you succeeding is far greater.

We are creatures of habit Did you know there are 2 kinds of habits? 1) things you do 2) things you don't do
Everything that you are not doing right now, you are in the habit of not doing.
People with a rich mindset believe that they are the creators of their life. They form habits that help them create the life they want. People with a scarcity mindset believe the opposite, that life happens to them, that they have no control over the situation.
Do you have the habit of blaming others for your misfortune? Do you justify your lack of money situation by saying "money's not really important"? Do you complain about how difficult your life is?
Please remember that where focus goes, energy flows!
If you are in the habit of complaining, or blaming or saying that money is not important, then that is exactly what you will be attracting into your life. You are the creator of your life and you can attract success or crap, it is up to you
Get into the habit of choosing your words and thoughts wisely
You create your wealth, your non-wealth, and every level in between.
Here is an exercise that you may want to turn into a habit;
At the end of each day, write down one thing that went well and one thing that didn't. Then write the answer to the following question "How did I create each of these situations?" If others were involved, ask yourself, "What was my part in creating each of these situations?" This exercise will keep you accountable for your life and make you aware of the strategies that are working for you and the strategies that are not.
