IMPORTANT! Please see editorial on Page 8 regarding the Town’s “Open House” scheduled for this Monday.
“Open House” meeting this Monday, September 30
th at the RecPlex. The “possible game changing” location of the future Arena and Library are to be discussed, although it appears most of the current council have already decided. The event gives the optics of being open and transparent, although there has been
very little promotion of this meeting. The Town’s web pages and their Social Media, appear to be the main avenues to let residents know of this supposed “community engagement”, while we know that the current council’s main supporters
will be there. This council has said repeatedly that the much applauded
Downtown Master Plan (DMP) has
not been scrapped, although it appears the heart of the DMP, the important “Community Hub” component, has been abandoned. It truly will be interesting to see how this is presented.
I urge everyone to attend this meeting on Monday. RecPlex at 7:00 pm.
