It is with very heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Christina Armstrong on March 13, 2025, at Campbell House Hospice. Christina's kindness, generosity, and spirit touched the lives of all who knew her, and her absence will be deeply felt by her family, friends, and community. Please keep her husband Brian in your prayers during this incredibly difficult time, as well as the dedicated volunteers and all who have had the privilege of working with Christina. May we find strength together as we grieve this profound loss and honor Christina's memory. A Celebration of Life will be held at Wasaga Beach United Church, details to follow when available. “Today and always, may loving memories bring you peace, comfort, and strength."
I would like to thank people who have expressed interest in volunteering at the Food Bank. At this time we have a full complement of volunteers and there is a waiting list. The Wasaga Beach Ministerial Food Bank is currently in need of:
Juice boxes and snacks for the school lunch program (peanut free, fruit cups)
Chunky soups, stews, beefaroni, ravioli
Cereal (low sugar)
Cookies
If you are able to donate, the food bank is open for donations on Tuesday and Thursdays from 10AM to 1PM and Thursday evenings from 6:30P-8P. As well there are donation boxes at Foodland, Walmart and Superstore.
The food bank is located at 818 Mosley Road - in the same plaza as Canada Post.
