About Us
Coates Creek Cabinetry, located in the small community of New Lowell, Ontario was established in December of 1989. At the age of 18 owner operator Jeremy Van Severen, established a reputation for his “Pride in Workmanship”.Jeremy first took an interest in woodworking through his grandfather who he helped build pine beds for his sisters and cousins. Jeremy’s interest blossomed through out his adolescent years as he began taking wood shop in high school. After high school he found employment with a local woodworking company but he was determined to share his design ideas and customization with the world.
He approached is grandfather with a business proposition and he began a small workshop out of an old barn on his grandfather’s property where the company continues to thrive today. The shop was originally a 20 by 40 foot space and heated with a wood stove. Equipment consisted of 3 pieces of machinery and an assortment of hand tools.
After two years of business he realized he needed to expand. In 1992 the first expansion took place to include a spray room. As business continued to thrive and Coates Creek became more known for its customized quality the business demanded yet another expansion in the fall of 1998. The shop is now 4600 square feet including the showroom and office areas.
Coates Creek Cabinetry not only provides you with customized designs and details but is renowned for its customer service. Jeremy sees every project from beginning to end maintaining personal contact with all customers. The company has now been in business for over two decades and continues to provide the same “pride in workmanship” guaranteed.
