Johnny Max (John McAneney) will be Freakin' at the Beacon with The Freakin' Band this week, Wednesday, October 3! Johnny will be hosting in Virgil Scott's stead as Virgil attends his treasured daughter's wedding. (Congratulations, Virgil!). With seven CDs and multiple Juno and Maple Blues Award nominations to his credit, Johnny's an accomplished singer/songwriter. Today, September 19, marks the return of Wendell Ferguson! Wendell's been Freakin' at the Beacon before and is a definite crowd favourite. A Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame inductee, Wendell is one of Canada's premier guitarists, having won the annual Canadian Country Music award for Best Guitarist seven times! Funny as all get-out as well, we always look forward to Wendell's return to The Beacon! Freakin' at the Beacon -- every Wednesday night from 7 to 11 at The Beacon Restaurant, 146 45th Street, Wasaga Beach.
