FACT: The majority of break-ins occur in July & August People put their guards down when the sun starts to shine. They leave doors and windows open, and hang out in the garden with their garage or shed doors wide open for onlookers to see all their toys. SUMMER RULES 1) Be aware of strangers loitering about in the neighborhood. 2) If you see anything suspicious or witness a crime report it.

Security Tips for Today 1) Make your home look occupied at all times. Use timers to switch lights and radios on and off when not at home. Burglars often house watch for a couple of days to learn people’s habits. If they see when the home is always empty, that is when they will plan their attack. 2) Make sure your entrances are wide open and lighted well. Burglars do not want to be seen.

Do you need your locks changed or Re-Keyed? I am amazed to learn how many people move to a new home, go out, and buy all new locks for their doors. Quality door hardware is not cheap. To re-key is simply to change the pins in the cylinder of the lock to fit a different key. When done by someone qualified; it is usually less time consuming and less expensive then purchasing new locks.
